Restorative

Restorative dentistry involves treatment of decayed, broken, or missing teeth, which are extremely common conditions. We are very experienced in treating these problems. We offer many different types of solutions to restore your smile back to health, depending on your needs and wishes.

White Fillings

As a general dental office, our primary responsibility is helping you keep your teeth healthy for life! This means diagnosing and treating conditions like cavities when they arise. Although we go to great lengths to prevent them, cavities unfortunately are extremely common. In fact, according to the Centers for Disease Control, dental decay is the most common chronic disease among children and adolescents aged 6 to 19 years, and 9 out of 10 adults age 20 or over have at least some degree of dental decay. When cavities develop, they are most commonly treated with fillings. At Venuto Family Dentistry, we exclusively use white fillings, which blend in with your natural tooth structure and are practically invisible.

Ceramic Crowns and Bridges

In some situations, a filling is insufficient to protect a tooth and further treatment is necessary. These situations include teeth that have a history of very large cavities, root canal treatment, or fractures. In these cases, often a crown is recommended. A crown is a cap that is cemented over top of the entire tooth to protect it and assure its long-term stability. In our office we use exclusively metal-free crowns that are made of ceramic materials, ensuring a durable yet aesthetic result. A bridge is several crowns that are connected with false teeth in between to fill in spaces where teeth are missing.

Dental Implants

Although we always try to save natural teeth whenever possible, sometimes that simply isn’t an option. Dental implants are essentially brand new teeth, which are supported by titanium fixtures where the roots of the natural teeth once were. Implant technology has allowed us to replace missing teeth with natural looking and feeling prostheses, which do not come in and out of the mouth, and do not in any way compromise remaining natural teeth. Implants can be used to replace a single tooth, multiple teeth, or even an entire arch of missing teeth. If implants are the right choice for you, we will work closely with a trusted local specialist who manages the surgical placement of the fixture(s). Once the implant(s) are fully healed, we manage the second phase of the process which involves placing the finished crown, bridge, or implant-supported denture on the implants themselves.

Dentures

For patients for whom implants or bridges aren’t an option, we offer removable partial and complete dentures as a more affordable way to replace multiple missing teeth.
